AAU confirms lecturer was its staff
The university has confirmed that Uwuigbe was a member of its academic staff but clarified that the incident occurred outside the university premises.
AAU spokesperson, Otunba Mike Ade Aladenika, also stated that the woman involved was not a student of the university.
He described the circumstances surrounding the incident as a private matter unrelated to the university’s official activities.
The investigation is continuing as authorities seek to determine exactly what happened in the hotel room before the lecturer was found dead.
