The All Progressives Congress (APC) has revised its presidential campaign council for the 2027 general election, naming Nyesom Wike, Ademola Adeleke and Chukwuma Soludo as campaign coordinators in key states.
The appointments bring prominent political figures from outside the ruling party into the campaign structure for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, according to reports published on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
Wike to Coordinate Rivers, FCT Campaign
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has been assigned to coordinate Tinubu’s campaign in Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Wike is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), making his inclusion in the APC’s campaign council a notable cross-party development ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Adeleke Gets Osun Campaign Role
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has been named the campaign coordinator for Osun State.
Adeleke secured re-election in August 2026 on the platform of the Accord Party. His appointment places him in a key position within Tinubu’s campaign structure in the state, despite his party affiliation.
Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has also been named coordinator for the president’s campaign in Anambra State. Soludo belongs to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Other Key Appointments
The revised campaign council includes several other political figures with responsibilities across different areas.
Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has been named Director of Finance, while Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Nigeria Revenue Service Chairman Zacch Adedeji will coordinate fundraising.
Former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari retains his position as Director-General of the campaign council. Other appointments cover mobilisation, administration, communications and election planning.
President Tinubu is expected to inaugurate the revised council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, October 14.
A Broader Political Coalition Ahead of 2027
The inclusion of politicians affiliated with different parties highlights the broad political alliances being assembled around Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
The appointments also raise questions about how the campaign council will coordinate its activities with the political parties and local structures to which some of its members belong.
With preparations for the 2027 elections continuing, the revised council is expected to play a central role in organising campaign activities and mobilising support across the country.
