‘We won’t come again’: Kano residents protest N3,000 payment for APC rally, lament borrowing money for transport

Some aggrieved residents of Kano who took part in the campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have protested the N3,000 payment they allegedly received from the party.

The angry residents lamented in Hausa that the amount given to them was too small to cover their transport expenses.

The development followed political mobilisation by the APC in Kano, where the party launched a support structure for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign ahead of next year’s general election.

In the footage, the aggrieved supporters, seen wearing APC-branded shirts, questioned the amount allegedly given to them after attending the campaign.

According to one of the men, some people who partook in the rally had borrowed money to pay their transport fares before arriving at the campaign ground, only to receive N3,000 afterwards.

“If you people keep giving us N3,000 for the APC campaign, we won’t come again. Some of us borrowed transport fare to come to the campaign ground and they are only paying us N3,000,” the angry man said.
