Nigerian Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has responded to a boxing challenge from fellow singer Teni, telling her to “pick a date” after the latter called her out for a celebrity showdown.

In the video, the singer jokingly called on Tiwa to face her in the boxing ring while discussing the money Nigerian entertainers make and the expensive lifestyles some celebrities maintain.

Teni expressed confidence that she would defeat Tiwa in the proposed fight, adding humorously that she would apologise after the encounter.

She also mentioned a possible ₦1.5 billion fight purse and wondered whether the amount would be enough to purchase a Bugatti.

The singer’s comments attracted attention because of her energetic personality and the unexpected prospect of two popular female Afrobeats stars facing each other outside the music industry.

Rather than rejecting the idea, she told Teni to “pick a date.”
